Project Architect

Opening exists for an Architect with 8-10 years of experience. Opportunity for you to shape and grow a studio through a collaborative and strategic design process to deliver highly creative and well detailed projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading a project team through the coordination and delivery of project concepting, design, detailing, documentation and construction.
  • Foster a culture of creative and strategic architectural design thinking through mentoring.
  • Engagement and coordination of engineers and other basic design consultants.
  • Assist in creating project schedules and tracking to design milestones.
  • Attend project meetings and travel to and from project sites and client meetings as required.

Requirements:

  • Ability to quickly communicate creative design strategies through excellent graphic and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate well in a studio environment as well as work independently to service individual client needs.
  • Proficiency in documenting all phases of the design process.
  • Willingness to engage in an integrated design process inclusive of Interior Design, Signage and Graphics and Landscape.
  • Bachelor of Architecture or Masters of Architecture
  • Architectural license a plus
  • Minimum of eight years of experience in architectural design, documentation and contract administration.
  • Knowledge of Washington, D.C. permit process is a plus.

Senior Interior Designer / Architect

ASD|SKY San Francisco is seeking a Senior experienced interior designer to focus on commercial interiors for a growing, diverse, and entrepreneurial studio. In this position, you will join a creative, design focused, and collaborative team dedicated to creative problem solving through quality and contextual design. Candidates should have at least 10 years of relative experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Generate program documents through client facing meetings
  • Create space plans
  • Develop and execute contextual design stories and concepts
  • Collaborate with team members on furniture and finish selection and construction document production
  • Coordinate consultant and vendor drawings
  • Lead/coordinate construction administration of projects and review of submittals and finish samples
  • Manage client expectations, and coordinate team and consultant communications
  • Generate business opportunity leads for the company
  • Manage various sized teams
  • Knowledge of budget and schedule drivers both internally and externally
  • Participate on multiple project teams simultaneously

Requirements:

  • 10+ year of related experience as an interior designer, with a focus on commercial interiors
  • Must be proficient in Revit and InDesign
  • Strong knowledge of the design and documentation process, including FF&E, furniture systems and specifications, color and materials
  • Outstanding graphic presentation skills
  • Willingness to focus on multiple projects in various stages
  • Ability to communicate design ideas and direction quickly
  • Strong leadership, organizational, communication and relationship management skills
  • Working knowledge of Autocad, Sketch-up, and Photoshop
  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or Architecture or related field
